Phil Holt spent nearly 40 years in National Air Traffic Services and served as a reservist in the RAF, a flying instructor and worked in Maritime Air Region Operations.

In this humorous yet factual presentation the questions are asked who contols the sky? What are the systems and procedures? How will they keep on sharing the air space in “The Crowded Sky”?

7.30pm New Milton Community Centre.

Christopher Legrand explores some of the historic towns and cities and describes famous chateaux and meanders the countryside to discover the country’s beauty, history and romance in this fully illustrated presentation.

Wed 2nd Aug – The Bermuda Triangle Fact or Fiction

7.30pm New Milton Community Centre

Howard Nicholls talk encompasses some of the many stories about unexplained disappearances of aircraft and ships in this area and aims to shed light on what may have happened in some instances.

Tues 15th Aug – Outing: Visit to Sherborne

A guided tour of Sherborne including the school grounds (site of the old Benedictine Monastery) not generally open to the public. We will visit the Almshouse and be given a 25 minute presentation followed by a visit to the Abbey to view important items highlighted by the guide and finally a guided tour of the school.

Wed 6th Sept – Ian Fleming, Espionage, Sabotage and Illusion

7.30pm New Milton Community Centre

Kathy McNally delivers informative and fun talks about the secret service and espionage. Be prepared to be surprised at the wartime roles of famous artists from the stage, screen and literature.

Thurs 14th Sept – Outing: Conservation Work in the New Forest

Dylan Everett will give a guided tour on the progress being made at Foxbury on the heathland restoration project. This will be followed by lunch at The Rockingham Arms.

Wed 4th Oct – Foot and Mouth Painter

Tom Yendell is expected to give a brilliant demonstration and talk on painting.

Roger Walker is Chairman of the Friends of Hurst Castle and will talk about its history and illustrate the work the Friends do in support regarding fundraising and maintenance to keep it open to the public.

Tues 7th Nov – Stourhead Revisited

Having visited the world famous gardens 3 years ago we are returning by popular demand. Stourhead gardens in late autumn are at their most spectacular, the colours are truly breathtaking and with the assistance of volunteer guides we will be able to experience them fully.

Mon 13th Nov – Skittles, Quiz and Supper
